Revenue Down for Buhler
Buhler Industries released its first quarter results for FY 2016. Revenue was $36.3 million, down from $60.1 million for the same quarter last year.
The Winnipeg-based company said sales in North America have declined from prior years, particularly in the United States. Sales to Eastern Europe have increased significantly.
Sales for the second and third quarters of 2016 are expected to be higher than first quarter sales, although sales and profitability for the year are still expected to be off 2015 levels, as demand for agricultural equipment continues to be weaker as a result of lower commodity prices.
