See You Soon! Tips for Making the Most of Minneapolis

If you are joining us for the 2018 Marketing & Distribution Convention at the Hilton Minneapolis, here are a few notes to help you prepare. (If you have not yet registered, there’s time! Go to Meeting.FarmEquip.org.)

Stay Connected on Mobile Site – Find resources about the convention, hotel, and city on your mobile phone at m.FarmEquip.org, including the meeting schedule, nearby restaurants, the forecast, attendees’ names, and when the convention starts, live links to attendees’ email addresses.

Forecast – Expect highs in the 50s and lows in the 30s. If Mother Nature delivers unpleasantness, explore without enduring the elements through Skyway—9.5 miles of enclosed, second-level bridges that connect the hotel to restaurants, shops, and services in 80 blocks.

Schedule Appointments Soon –
The Equipment Marketing & Distribution Association reports its attendance is the best it has been since 2015. That means attendees with this Association have more opportunities to meet distributors. You can see EMDA’s registration list at FarmEquip.org/emda and schedule meetings in advance. You will of course have time to meet independent reps and wholesalers during the Contact Session and Marketplace on Wednesday and networking opportunities thoughout the convention.

What to Wear – Attire for the fall convention is a little snazzier than the spring, but no one has been refused admittance for opting to show up more casually dressed. You will see sports coats. You will see khakis. You will see pull-overs and button-downs. Because folks often are arriving to the hotel moments before the welcome reception, it tends to be more casual.
