Thurston Sells Circle R Trailer to Demco

Member companies Thurston Manufacturing and Dethmers Manufacturing, doing business as Demco, announced an agreement last week in which Thurston sells its Circle R Side Dump Trailer line and brand name to Demco.

Demco is also known also as Demco/Maurer to include its affiliated brand name.

Nick Jensen, president of Thurston Manufacturing, describes the agreement as a “win-win-win” for Circle R, Demco, and Thurston.

“We found an ideal opportunity, where both buyer and seller will greatly benefit from this transaction,” he said, “and the timing was right for both companies.”

Thurston will continue to produce Circle R Side Dump Trailers. Demco will market the trailer under Circle R brand through the Maurer dealer network during a six-month transition period.

Demco President Bob Koerselman said the acquisition is an opportunity for Demco/Maurer to enter a new market in construction and mining while offering customers in agriculture and other industries a more complete line of trailers.
