Purchasing Track Added to Spring Conference

In response to member companies’ requests, this year’s Spring Conference will add a special track designed for your company’s key purchasing staff.

Leading this new track, we are pleased to have Robert Menard, a purchasing professional who understands that members care about reducing costs and reaping an ROI that exceeds what they pay. His session on purchasing and negotiation will teach members how their companies can realize these results.

Robert is a Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) and also an instructor and adviser for CPP Examination Prep courses. He has written and delivered 2,000+ seminars on the subject in 47 U.S. states, seven Canadian provinces and several overseas countries.

With more than three decades in business, and having trained thousands of professionals in hundreds of consulting engagements, Robert is uniquely suited to lead our first two sessions on purchasing.

Monday morning’s two-hour session will start at 10:00 am and focus on Lean Principles and Sustainability. It will end promptly at noon, providing time for purchasing agents to enjoy our annual golf tournament or trap shoot in the afternoon.

On Tuesday, a one-hour session beginning at 1:00 pm will address Supplier Relationship Management—just before our Supplier Showcase in the afternoon.

We anticipate that this special purchasing-agent track will become a regular feature of our Spring Conference. So, to launch its premier, we will offer special discounts for manufacturers who bring their purchasing agents to this year’s conference in San Antonio.
