Lessiter Acquires Implement & Tractor Magazine

Lessiter Publications Inc., announced Monday that it bought the assets of Implement & Tractor magazine from Farm Journal Media.

As part of Lessiter’s acquisition of the assets of the magazine, longstanding columnist Greg Petersen, also known as Machinery Pete, will contribute content and analysis for Lessiter Publications.

Lessiter Publications’ equipment dealer properties include Farm Equipment, Ag Equipment Intelligence, Rural Lifestyle Dealer, Dealership Minds Summit and Precision Farming Dealer.

“We are excited to bring the storied Implement & Tractor magazine, its circulation and historic content dating back to 1885 to our group of dealer properties,” said Lessiter Publications President Mike Lessiter.

Steve Custer, Executive Vice President/COO at Farm Journal Media added: “We couldn’t think of a better home for Implement & Tractor than with Lessiter.”

Farm Journal Media bought a majority interest in Machinery Pete in 2014 and recently launched a redesigned MachineryPete.com.
