In Memoriam: Elton Malish
Elton Malish, founder of K&M Manufacturing Co., Inc., in Taylor, Texas, died April 29. He was 79.
Malish founded the company in 1980 in response to a need in his family and community for a manufacturer of trailers and loaders to haul big round bales. Years later, the company added renovators, chisel plows, and disc harrows to its product line, and in 1996, it acquired the Miller-Johnson line of products.
In addition to manufacturing, Malish enjoyed a long career as a farmer. He also served as a crew leader of house framers in the Austin area and a building trades teacher in his early career.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Judy Lange Malish and their six children.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ Lutheran Church in Noack – 6730 FM 112, Taylor, TX, 76574-4605.
