AEM June Ag Flash Report

The Association of Equipment Manufacturers’ (AEM) Canadian Ag Flash Report and the U.S. Ag Flash Report for June 2008 are available.  The reports compare monthly data from the current and past year of the Canadian and U.S. unit retail sales of two- and four-wheel drive tractors and self- propelled combines.

For June 2008, Canada produced the following results for unit retail sales:
Under 40 HP: 1,872 (+16.2% from 2007)
40 & Under 100 HP: 850 (+16.9%)
100 HP & Over: 431 (+6.9%)
Two-Wheel Drive: 3,153 (+15.0%)
Four-Wheel Drive: 121 (+278.1%)
Total Tractors: 3,274 (+18.1%)
Combines (Self-Propelled): 285 (+70.7%)

The U.S. report shows for June 2008, the below results for unit retail sales:
Under 40 HP: 12,490 (-11.8% from 2007)
40 & Under 100 HP: 7,633 (-7.0%)
100 HP & Over: 1,984 (+14.5%)
Two-Wheel Drive: 22,107 (-8.3%)
Four-Wheel Drive: 316 (+35.0%)
Total Farm Tractors: 22,423 (-7.8%)
Combines (Self-Propelled): 788 (+8.2%)
