ASABE to Adopt Standard on Closed Transfer System

The American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) has begun the process to nationally adopt ISO 21191, Equipment for crop protection – Closed transfer systems (CTS) – Performance specifications.

This standard provides for the safe transfer of liquid plant protection products, to minimize risk of exposure to the operator. The adoption will further harmonize national and international standardization, a goal that facilitates manufacturing, safety advancements, and product marketing worldwide.
