Experts Needed to Review Baler & Mower Safety Standards

Experts Needed to Review Revisions of Adopted ISO Safety Standards for Agricultural Balers and Mowers.

The American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) has announced two revision projects created to incorporate amendments. The standards to be revised are ANSI/ASABE AD4254-11:2010 JAN2012 (R2024) Agricultural machinery — Safety — Part 11: Pick-up balers and ANSI/ASABE AD4254-12:2012 JUL2016 (R2023) Agricultural machinery — Safety — Part 12: Rotary disc and drum mowers and flail mowers.

ASABE invites those with relevant expertise to participate in the revisions of these standards. These revisions will further harmonize national and international standardization, a goal that facilitates manufacturing, safety advancements, and product marketing worldwide. The drafting committee is looking for experts to review and provide industry feedback. The opportunity is available to any qualified individual who expresses interest in either of these standards. Membership is not required.
