S3 Acquires Maker of AWS Airbar

S3 Group has acquired TEMP Farm Equipment Ltd.

TEMP Farm Equipment, which is based in Mitchell, Ont., is best known for its AWS airbars that introduce airflow into the header of a combine, which the company says reduces shatter loss, increases yields, and improves ground speed.

Under the new ownership structure, AWS operations manager Mark MacDonald becomes general manager. AWS will continue to operate in Mitchell.

AWS and S3 have a shared history. S3 Air Systems manufactures the rotors used in AWS’s flagship airbar.

“I have tremendous respect for the business that Jeff Dolmage, Mike De Corte and their partners have built,” said S3 Group CEO Richelle Andreas. “They have demonstrated a corporate culture of customer responsiveness, actively developing employees for success and a world-class product. This acquisition makes S3 stronger, and I am excited about what it means for our future.”

S3 Group is based in Swift Current, Sask., where it designs, develops, and manufactures OEM components across multiple divisions.
