U.S. Ag Tractor and Combine Sales Down at 2025 Close

According to new data from the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), U.S. sales of ag tractors and combines fell in December 2025 compared to the year before.

U.S. sales of total ag tractors dropped 14.8% while sales of combines declined 4.3% in December 2025 compared to the year before. Meanwhile, Canadian sales of ag tractors were down 13.7%, while combine sales jumped 26.1% in December compared to the year before.

“December’s data is a result of the economic instability and pressures farmers have faced the past months,” said Association of Equipment Manufacturers Senior Vice President Curt Blades. Throughout this short-term decline in sales, equipment manufacturers remain committed to supporting farmers with the equipment they need. As we look into 2026, AEM remains confident in the industry’s resilience and unique ability to adapt.”
