Agritechnica Increases Exhibitors To More Than 2,600
Since the premiere event in 1985, the organizer DLG (German Agricultural Society) of Agritechnica has noted rising exhibitor and visitor numbers. If you are visiting the show, plan on at least two to three days to be able to see the more than 2,600 exhibitors that will display their products on almost 100 acres of exhibition surface in 24 halls.
Attendees may plan their visit well before landing in Hanover. The Agritechnica exhibitors online database, available at Agritechnica.com, enables attendees to find exhibitors, using a wide-range of products as search criteria. You can then create a list of companies to see and plan a route map. For easy orientation, an official Agritechnica App is available in mid-October for iPhones and Android equipment.
Agritechnica is the world largest forum for presenting new agricultural machinery and equipment. This year the exhibition more than meets this distinction. Over 320 innovations have been submitted to the organizer DLG. This can be rated as a clear indication that the manufacturers of agricultural machinery and equipment are launching an innovations campaign for the coming years.
With the show special “Smart Farming, Intelligent and sustainable plant production”, DLG together with science and academia, consultants and the industry, is offering a unique opportunity to gather information on how systems function, what is ready for use in practice and what can be expected in the future.
A large number of interactive exhibits from various manufacturers in the thematic areas of navigation, sensor technology, data management and ISOBUS will be on display in this show special in Hall 16.
Attendees will be able to gain an excellent overview of cross-manufacturer systems fit for use in practical farming, with the many benefits these can bring. A glimpse into the future will be provided by the University of Hohenheim, Germany, also via an interactive presentation. Renowned experts will be available at the show special for intensive exchanges of experience on the spot. Alongside modern “smart farming technology”, above all reliable weather data and plant cultivation expertise are essential. In this context, soils are indisputably the most important foundation for sustainable agriculture and deserve particular attention. That is why the German Meteorological Service and the Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources will be represented at the Agritechnica show special in Hanover.
