Art’s-Way Opens New IA Facility

Iowa’s Fayette County officially welcomed Art’s-Way Manufacturing Co. to West Union late last month, as local residents and business owners cordially intermingled with Art’s-Way board members and employees, sharing good wishes and receiving information about the manufacturer and their new facility, The Fayette County Union Newspaper reported.

Joining the overwhelming support shown by area citizens were dignitaries and officials from the city, county and government levels.

“It’s an exciting day for West Union, Fayette, Calmar and Fayette County,” said First National Bank President John Grimes, while greeting those in attendance. “Today’s welcoming of Art’s-Way into the community was made possible through a collaborative effort of too many groups and organizations to entirely name. All certainly played a part in enabling us to land Art’s-Way into the community.”

Looking across the interior of the 190,000 sq. ft. former Atwood building, Art’s-Way board member David Castle smiled while earlier commenting, “This is a wonderful facility that offers a lot of flexibility for us.”

During the ceremony J. Ward McConnell Jr., executive chairman of the board of Art’s-Way, reiterated the company’s satisfaction in finding such a spacious building.
