Beware of Convention Hotel Scams
It has come to our attention that Global Housing Corp and another firm, have been contacting exhibitors and attendees of our Fall Convention to solicit hotel reservations for our meeting in Jacksonville, FL.
NO outside firm has been authorized to handle housing for this or any other meeting of this Association.
There are companies in the convention industry who are willing to misrepresent themselves by claiming to be the housing provider for a given convention or trade show. They will sometimes offer to get you cut rate hotel accommodations and try to convince you that the offer is being made on behalf of the Farm Equipment Manufacturers Association or our Fall Convention.
Please be advised that all housing for our Jacksonville Fall Convention is being handled exclusively by our staff, which will begin taking reservations the final week in June. No housing company has access to the discounted room blocks at Jacksonville Hyatt during our meeting dates.
Your registration for the Fall Convention, either online or directly with our staff will include hotel reservations and provide you not only the lowest rate available, but will also avoid additional registration fees associated with booking reservations outside our room block.
As an exhibitor or attendee, it is solely your decision whether or not to purchase services from non-official providers, but we encourage you to treat solicitations from these providers with appropriate caution and strongly recommend that you work directly and only with our staff.
