Bridgestone Reopens North American Plants

Bridgestone Americas reopened its temporarily closed North American manufacturing plants, including three Tennessee facilities, on Monday.

North American and Latin American manufacturing plants were temporarily shut down starting March 21 in response to the COVID-19 crisis.

“We are mindful of the need for Bridgestone to do its part in providing critical products and services to businesses and agencies doing so much to keep essential workers and goods moving,” CEO and president Paolo Ferrari stated in a news release.

Warehouses and logistics teams continued to fill orders during the shutdown period using existing product supplies but reduced the production of new products to adjust for predictions of shrinking demand.
