Buhler Reports 1Q Results

Buhler Industries recently reported a first-quarter profit, up sharply from a year ago, while its revenue grew by more than 40%. The company said it earned $2.4 million on $76.5 million in revenue for the three months ended Dec. 31, 2011. That compared with a profit of $500,000, on $53.9 million in revenue in the same period a year earlier.

Buhler attributed the increase to a recovery in the overseas market, strong domestic demand for tractors, continued demand for a sprayer line and sales in the seeding and tillage lines introduced last year.
