Bush Hog: Sale Uncertain, Production Will Resume In Feb.
Farm Equipment magazine reports that in a letter to Bush Hog employees dated Jan. 23, president Duane Prentice tried to calm concerns about the sale or closing of the company, after the plant had been put into hibernation mode. In the letter Prentice assured the employees that the company would return to production in early February and that the current hiatus was only to avoid excess inventory in dealerships.
Prentice also addressed rumors that the company is in negotiations to be sold. He wrote, “As you are aware, Bush Hog’s ownership is investigating whether or not this may be the right time to sell the company. Bush Hog owner CC Industries has hired Lincoln International, a global merger and acquisition advisory firm, to help evaluate options.”
Prentice also noted in his letter that a number of interested parties have come forward but a sale is far from certain.
