CNH Announces Saskatoon Layoffs
Farm Equipment magazine reports that layoff notices were recently given to 130 employees at Saskatoon’s Case-New Holland (CNH) manufacturing plant.
Ralph Traviati, CNH spokesperson for North America, said the indefinite layoffs, meaning if hourly positions open within the next year, laid off employees may be called back, are a result of the company adjusting its output to meet demand. Traviati would not comment on how many employees work at the plant. The Saskatoon facility makes seeding and tillage equipment.
