Central Illinois Ag (CIA) confirms their business operations remain open following a fire at their Atlanta location on June 30, 2013. According to business co-owner Steve Schmidt, the sales and accounting offices are gone as well as the parts showroom area.

Officials say that about 15 fire departments helped to put out the fire. General Manager of CIA, Atlanta, Warren Goetsch said, “It’s kind of devastating. You know, we all thought this was our home and it hurt us a little bit. But we’ll be all right.”

Fortunately, there were no injuries and the computer files were backed up. Steve Schmidt said the dealership retained most of the computer information since they are stored on a cloud server. Due to this precaution, their business was able to be up and running within a couple of days after the fire.
