Doosan To Relocate Headquarters From Charlotte To Atlanta

The South Korean buyers of the Bobcat construction equipment brand launched a global headquarters last summer in Charlotte, NC, but now Doosan Infracore International, is consolidating those corporate offices and re-establishing its North American base in Atlanta, according to the Charlotte
Business Journal.

The eight-year lease was signed in May for 25,472 square feet at an Atlanta building that would house employees from the Charlotte location and sister company Doosan Infracore America Corp., which has been based in Suwanee, GA.

Doosan’s desire to stay in Charlotte was allegedly outweighed by the allure of a larger Korean community in Atlanta. The frequency of direct flights to Korea from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport also played a role in the decision.
