Fiat-CNH Merger Vote Set For July

Fiat Industrial said it will convene an extraordinary shareholder meeting on July 9, 2013 to approve the merger with its CNH business in the U.S. Fiat Industrial will buy the 12% of CNH it does not currently own. It started the filing procedure on May 14 for a new New York Stock Exchange listing. Fiat Industrial S.p.A. and CNH Global N.V. also announced that the name of the merged company will be changed to CNH Industrial N.V.

Analysts and company officials said the merger is expected to be completed by the end of September.
