Iowa State Honors Kinzenbaw

Jon Kinzenbaw, CEO and chairman of the board for Kinze Manufacturing Inc. in Williamsburg, Iowa, received an honorary doctorate degree and delivered remarks to graduates of Iowa State University in May.

The university describes Kinzenbaw as a “disruptive innovator” and said his “achievements, work ethic, and adherence to core values are models to be emulated by all Iowa State students.”

In 1965, Kinzenbaw was a young man with $5 in his pocket and a $3,655 bank loan, which he used to buy a set of tools, make the down payment on a building, and open Kinze Welding.

The company grew to become Kinze Manufacturing, which today employs 520 people.
