It’s All In What You Wear?

Reuters reports the majority of U.S. working women believe that their professional appearance is crucial to their success. Female executives also said how they assess their employees is in part based on the way they dress, according to a new survey.

The survey found that 98% of those polled feel their physical appearance affected their own career, and just 2% disagreed. The survey was conducted among female professionals, senior managers and business owners. Some 22% of the female chief executives, top managers and business owners said they had withheld a promotion or raise because of how an employee dresses at work.
