A beauty survey commissioned by a British cosmetics brand, found that women spend almost three years of their life getting ready to leave the house, according to
Marie Claire magazine. As far as the men are concerned, they’re left waiting an average of 17.42 minutes each time, while their partners finish getting ready. That adds up to a day and a half a year, totalling almost three months during a man’s lifetime.

The article says women take an average of an hour and 12 minutes to get ready each day. As for exactly what the women are doing during all this primp time? Broken down the averages come to: 22 minutes, for showering and leg shaving, seven minutes for moisturizing, 23 minutes for styling/drying their hair, 14 minutes on make-up, and six minutes getting dressed, according to the survey.
