Special Recognition Awards

Speaking at the Saturday morning General Session in Atlanta, President Ricky Brown gave out three Special Recognition Awards to members who went above and beyond the call of duty to help this Association become stronger.

Over the last few years, we have worked to make sure that any legislation passed dealing with this industry, provides for strong, and most importantly, independent dealers who have free access to sell the shortline products that have a proven history of bringing choice, value and innovation to agriculture.

Mr. Brown recognized Jack Vassar, (pictured first) President of Vassar Manufacturing Company, and Dave Hammond (pictured second), President of Cammond Industries Inc., for their help with legislation issues in the state of Oklahoma. They made phone calls, wrote letters and emails, and both individuals made the trip to the Oklahoma state capitol building. Both of them not only asked their representatives for support, but followed up and held their representatives and senators accountable for their votes.

Mr. Brown also presented immediate Past President Paula Kaster, V.P. of Marketing with Kasco Manufacturing Co., Inc., with a Special Recognition Award for her service to the Executive Committee. She has been a great asset to this Association and we thank her for her service.
