Spouse and Guests Tour, Eat and Shop Omaha

  Spring Clinic Offers
An Excellent Spouse/Guest Program

On Thursday, April 10, during the 2013 Spring Clinic, registered spouses and guests will depart for one of our best tours yet — The Durham Museum, Upstream Restaurant and Omaha’s Old Market District. These three stops will provide attendees with a variety of activities from history to shopping, and as always, a fantastic lunch. We encourage our spouses and guests to register for the tour today. There’s no better way to spend an Omaha day than with old and new friends on the Spouse/Guest Tour.

Tour — The Durham Museum offers a fascinating look at the history of the region and offers a wide variety of traveling exhibits, covering subjects ranging from history and culture, to science, industry and more through their affiliation with the Smithsonian Institution and the Library of Congress, National Archives and the Field Museum.

In addition to seven permanent exhibits, temporary exhibits include – Women Who Rock: Vision, Passion, Power and We Want The Vote: Women's Suffrage On The Plains.  Take a look at all this museum has to offer at DurhamMuseum.org.

Eat — Upstream Restaurant derived their concept from the Native American meaning of Omaha, “upstream” or “against the current” — the Upstream Brewing Company is a restaurant different from the rest. Since opening in 1996, Upstream has been all about fresh — from the handcrafted beers, to the locally grown produce, to the lively atmosphere. Not to mention the friendly, knowledgeable staff. You will surely enjoy a tasty lunch from a special menu at Upstream’s downtown Omaha location. Take a look at the restaurant online at UpstreamBrewing.com.

Shop — Omaha’s Old Market District has been transformed from a historic area to a lively shopping and dining destination. Street musicians and artists offer entertainment as you wander in and out of the many boutiques and galleries that line the cobblestone streets. The Old Market District offers everything from antiques to art in addition to the thrill of the hunt as you search for that special Omaha memorabilia. The Old Market District is a truly unique destination you won’t want to miss. Take a look all the shopping options at OldMarket.com.
