Survey Shows Dealers Remain Confident

Our friends at Lessiter Publications tell us that North American farm equipment dealers continue to see good potential for solid sales in 2014.

Nearly 40% of the dealers responding to Ag Equipment Intelligence’s (AEI) “2014 Business Trends & Outlook Survey” expect revenues from new equipment sales to increase anywhere from 2% to more than 8% in the year ahead. Another 36% are calling for “flat” sales in the year ahead, which, by all accounts, has been a solid sales year.

Some 200 dealers from the U.S. and Canada participated in the survey, which was conducted in the last week of August and first week of September.

Executive Editor Dave Kanicki does a great job covering the industry with the monthly AEI publication — subscription information is available at bit.ly/AEI-FarmEquip.
