David Hellbusch Joins FEMA Board of Directors
David Hellbusch, Vice President of Plant Operations at Duo Lift Manufacturing Company, Inc. in Columbus, NE, was recently elected to the Board of Directors of the Farm Equipment Manufacturers Association (FEMA). He joins a 16-person board that serves as a voice, advocate, and resource for companies across the farm implement supply chain, including manufacturers, providers of component parts and services, and equipment marketers.
“I’m honored to join the Board of the Farm Equipment Manufacturers Association,” Hellbusch said. As a third-generation member of Duo Lift, I’ve seen firsthand how this Association supports and advocates for companies like ours across the industry. It’s also meaningful for me to continue the legacy of my family’s involvement and work alongside fellow members to support the future of farm equipment manufacturing.”
Hellbusch is part of the third generation to lead Duo Lift Manufacturing, a family-owned business known for producing specialty farm trailers and wagons like fertilizer tank trailers and combine head haulers. He began his career at Duo Lift in 2007 in the sales department, moved to operations in 2010, and has been in his current role as Vice President since then. Growing up, Hellbusch worked in the factory and on the family farm, and he holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a focus on management from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.
He lives in Columbus with his wife Lisa, and their three children: Noah, Emery, and Kensley. The family enjoys kids’ sports, traveling, outdoor activities, and attending both Nebraska Huskers and Iowa State Cyclones events.
