A small foundry and machine shop opened on the banks of the Waupaca River in 1871. Then it employed 15 men and made the patented Waupaca Chill Plow as well as boilers, sled shoes, sash weights and other ag and industrial castings. Today, Waupaca Foundry employs 4,000 and supplies iron castings the world uses and trusts. We produce parts for tractors and harvesting equipment to implement and machinery where you’ll find Waupaca Foundry castings, including housings, tractor weights, brackets, hubs, covers, arms, sheaves, supports, flywheels, spacers, pivots, pins, and links to anchors, arms, shims and brackets and so much more. Material grades produced include gray iron, ductile iron, high-strength and austempered ductile iron, and compacted graphite iron castings.
