Sales revenue in Canada increased by 48 percent at Poettinger, which drove a record in sales during the company’s 150th year.
Group revenues at the end of July were up 11 percent.
Key events during the 12-month reporting period include the acquisition of another Austrian manufacturer to enter the crop care sector with precision hoes; the opening of the first phase of a new factory in Austria building big balers and hay rakes; and starting assembly of seed drills in Kazakhstan.
Grassland machinery such as mowers, tedders, rakes, balers and forage wagons accounted for 69 percent of sales. Cultivators and seed drills built in Czechoslovakia and Germany, respectively, accounted for the rest.
