Kinzenbaw Named Hero in Ag
Kinze Manufacturing and its founder Jon Kinzenbaw received the 2015 Hero in American Agriculture award in April at the 11th Annual Golden Silo Awards. The awards were hosted by the Silos and Smokestacks National Heritage Area, which represents 37 counties in northeast Iowa.
The “Hero in American Agriculture” award honors an organization or individual who has been a catalyst to fundamentally changing and improving agriculture.
Kinze Manufacturing, based in Williamsburg, Iowa, manufactures row crop planters and wagons. Kinzenbaw owns several patents for his inventions in agriculture.
“The innovations of Jon Kinzenbaw and other forward-thinking Iowans helped to establish America as a leader in global agriculture,” said Don Short, President of the Heritage Area. “It’s these important stories that the Heritage Area is working to preserve and honor through our Golden Silo Awards.”
